In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, several side quests involve transporting items from one location to another. Among these quests are "The Flames of Fortune" located in Eldin Volcano and "Snowball Magic" found on Holy Mount Lanayru. Unlike the Eldin quest, "Snowball Magic" is not time-restricted, but you still need to ensure the snowball reaches its destination intact. Completing this quest rewards you with a vital item for players aiming to expand their heart container capacity in the game.

Steps to Complete the Quest

Before you can embark on the "Snowball Magic" side quest, you must finish the main quest titled "Rift on Holy Mount Lanayru." Once you receive Nayru's blessing, teleport to the Waypoint stone located near Conde's House. Inside, you'll find Conde with a red objective marker above him. Speak to him to learn about a magic ritual designed to guarantee his brother's safe return from his journey. This will transport you to another section of Mount Lanayru, where you previously discovered the Snowball Echo. Your task is to carry a "sparkling" snowball to an altar located in the northwest.

In "Snowball Magic," you cannot create an Echo of the snowball; instead, you will use Tri's Bind ability to transport it. From Conde's position, look for the large snowballs rolling down the mountain. Lock onto one by pressing the ZR button, then use the X button to Bind it. You'll need to navigate the winding path toward the altar. Be cautious, as numerous snowballs will roll down the mountainside and may collide with Zelda or the snowball she's carrying. If the snowball breaks, return to Conde's location to acquire another one.

Fastest Route

To avoid the twisting path, you can utilize the Platboom and Flying Tile for smoother transport. Follow the yellow arrows and the pink outlined Echoes in the accompanying image for precise navigation. If you prefer a more detailed route, here’s what you should do:

1. Move West: Head west from Conde to a large area with icicles protruding from the ground and snowballs tumbling down the slopes. Stay close to the right side to evade most snowballs.

2. Head North: Proceed north, then northwest to locate an island accessible only by creating Echoes. Use the Platboom Echo to elevate Zelda, ensuring she maintains some distance from the Platboom to avoid being knocked back when it lands, which could cause her to drop the snowball.

3. Reach the Island: Jump onto this island and face west; another island near the path to the altar should be visible. This island contains a treasure chest buried in the snow, which you can access using the Flying Tile.

4. Drop Down Safely: Carefully jump down from the ledge with the chest, watching out for any snowballs. Once it’s safe, head northwest to find the drop-off point for the snowball.

If you’re using Platboom and are concerned about it knocking Zelda back, consider equipping the Stone Anklet Accessory, available for 400 Rupees in Hyrule Castle Town.

If the snowball becomes too distant from Zelda, release and then pick it up again. Precise placement is not required; just ensure the snowball is positioned on the stone platform situated between the two ice pillars. Refer to the provided images for visual assistance.

Reward for Snowball Magic

Heart Piece

Upon successfully assisting Conde, he will reward you with a Heart Piece. As a reminder, collecting four Heart Pieces allows you to create a new Heart Container. In total, there are 40 Heart Pieces scattered throughout Echoes of Wisdom. If you've been diligent in your collection efforts, the Heart Piece from "Snowball Magic" may be one of the final pieces you need. Unlike the quests found in Eldin Volcano and Faron Wetlands, "Snowball Magic" is the sole side quest available on Holy Mount Lanayru after clearing the rift. You can chat with Conde whenever you wish, but he won’t offer any additional quests after this one.
