Gameloft has unveiled thrilling details about the upcoming paid expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley, titled The Storybook Vale, set for release in late 2024. Since its debut in September 2022, this Disney-themed life-sim has evolved with numerous updates, both free and paid, captivating players as they explore its expanding world filled with beloved Disney characters.
Currently, players are wrapping up the Trick or Treat event, which runs through October 31. In this event, gamers distribute candy to Disney residents to earn seasonal rewards. But with Halloween nearing its end, players are eager for what’s next. Gameloft has responded with an announcement about The Storybook Vale, which will bring a host of fresh content to keep fans engaged.
The Storybook Vale DLC will be released in two parts, with Part One launching on November 20. Priced at $29.99, this expansion invites players to explore The Vale, a brand-new area featuring three biomes: The Bind, Everafter, and Mythopia. Following the storyline from the recent A Rift in Time arc, players will join Merida from Brave and Flynn Rider from Tangled to defend these biomes from Hades, the fiery antagonist from Hercules, using a new mystical tool, the Royal Rod.
Release Dates:
- Part One – November 20, 2024
- Part Two – Summer 2025
Pricing:
- Standard Edition: $29.99
- Magical Edition: $49.99
New Biomes:
- The Bind
- Everafter
- Mythopia
New Characters:
- Merida (Brave)
- Flynn Rider (Tangled)
- Hades (Hercules)
The second installment, The Unwritten Realms, is slated for 2025. Players who purchase and play the expansion before December will also receive exclusive dark academia-themed clothing. Additionally, the $49.99 Magical Edition offers extra perks, including special costumes, the Autumn Manor House, a Hercules-inspired house featuring baby Pegasus, and 10,000 Moonstones.
Beyond the paid expansion, fans can anticipate a wave of free content arriving on December 4. The Sew Delightful update will introduce Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, allowing players to embark on themed quests with her and unlock exclusive decorations.
As Gameloft’s roadmap for 2024-2025 unfolds, Disney Dreamlight Valley is showing no signs of slowing down. The free update on December 4 will also bring The Floating Islands, a feature hinted at in August that expands players’ design options and storage capacity. Throughout 2025, additional free updates will continue, bringing Jasmine and Aladdin into the game, along with quests inspired by Alice in Wonderland and more content from Peter Pan.
With a blend of paid expansions and free updates, Disney Dreamlight Valley continues to grow, delivering fresh content and keeping the magic alive for its players.
