From October 28 to November 13, players can immerse themselves in a spine-chilling Halloween event in Phasmophobia. The Blood Moon Event transforms the lobby warehouse into a haunting spectacle, complete with a new Event Board detailing the exciting activities ahead.

This event is a collaborative effort that invites players from around the globe—whether seasoned PC players or console newcomers—to participate. Individual players cannot complete the event alone; instead, everyone must contribute to unlock rewards collectively. With eerie new visuals and more formidable ghosts, it’s the perfect moment to dive back into the premier ghost-hunting experience.

How to Participate in the Phasmophobia Blood Moon Event

To engage in the Blood Moon Event, players should focus on completing the following three objectives as often as possible while exploring Blood Moon maps:

1. Correctly Identify Ghosts: Pay close attention to the evidence gathered, and be cautious of being misled by a Mimic when searching for Ghost Orbs.

2. Complete Optional Objectives: These tasks can be viewed at the beginning of a game on the board inside the van.

3. Photograph Totems: Each Blood Moon map will feature at least one red Totem, so keep your camera handy. A Totem will disappear once it has been successfully photographed, and there’s no need to worry about deleting any photos.

For every completed objective, players will earn points that contribute to the overall community score. Progress can be tracked via the Event Board located in the warehouse. When Stage 1 reaches 100%, a reward will be unlocked, allowing players to begin contributing to Stage 2.

At the end of each game, players will see the Blood Moon points they’ve earned in the game summary.

Increased Difficulty During the Blood Moon

While the objectives may seem straightforward, players should be aware that the Blood Moon significantly increases the game’s challenge. The new decorations can make navigation tricky on the designated maps, and the ghosts themselves become more active, aggressive, and powerful. Players should proceed with caution and always have a hiding spot in mind.

Fortunately, these objectives can be completed on any difficulty level. Due to the heightened challenge, players will receive a 10% increase in rewards at the conclusion of each game.

Maps Involved in the Phasmophobia Blood Moon Event

To take part in the Halloween event for Phasmophobia, players need to explore the following maps, all easily recognizable by their large red markers on the contract board:

- 42 Edgefield Road: A medium-sized two-story modern house with a basement.

- 13 Willow Street: A cozy small house featuring just a basement.

- Point Hope: A multi-level lighthouse map.

- Grafton Farmhouse: A creepy, old farmhouse that’s not for the faint of heart.

Players will know they have selected an event map upon exiting the van to find a blood-red sky and interiors adorned with red candles and other spooky decorations.

Rewards for the Phasmophobia Blood Moon Event

What would an event be without enticing rewards? As mentioned earlier, these rewards will be unlocked collectively by the community:

- Stage 1: Blood Moon ID Card

- Stage 2: Upgraded ID Card

- Stage 3: Blood Moon Trophy & permanently unlocked Blood Moon weather

The most thrilling rewards will come after the community successfully completes all three stages. If achieved, the Blood Moon Trophy will be proudly displayed in a cabinet within the warehouse, alongside other collectibles like cursed objects and human bones.

The newly unlocked Blood Moon weather will add an intriguing gameplay option, enhancing the haunting atmosphere while empowering the ghosts.
