A new leak suggests that Disney’s beloved Cars characters may be racing into Fortnite soon. Known for its high-profile collaborations, Fortnite often focuses on Battle Royale crossovers, but with the game’s ongoing evolution into a multi-faceted experience, this Cars partnership could extend beyond Battle Royale, bringing a fresh appeal to other game modes. This expansion offers players new ways to enjoy Fortnite by diving into various modes without feeling limited to one experience.
Fortnite has significantly ramped up its collaborations, with Disney playing a pivotal role in recent releases. The 2024 Fortnitemares event, for example, introduced several iconic Disney villains into the game. The partnership provides a vast selection of Disney media to incorporate into Fortnite, and this rumored Cars crossover could bring new twists to modes beyond the standard gameplay options.
Renowned Fortnite and Rocket League leaker @SamsLeakss recently shared on social media that a collaboration with Disney and Pixar's Cars is expected soon. According to @SamsLeakss, fans have been eagerly anticipating this crossover. While Cars character skins could appear in Battle Royale, it’s more likely that this crossover will focus on enhancing Fortnite’s vehicle roster, especially as a Porsche collaboration was also recently hinted at. If accurate, these additions might be part of the game’s Rocket Racing mode, which is gaining popularity.
Further details from @SamsLeakss reveal that four racing maps, known as “Thunder” maps, will be included in the collaboration, with iconic Cars locations like Radiator Springs and Willy’s Butte potentially becoming playable tracks. Bringing Cars into Fortnite could be a logical move for Epic Games, particularly following the introduction of Cars star Lightning McQueen in Rocket League back in 2023. This crossover may help maintain interest in Rocket Racing, especially as themed updates are set to wind down.
While Rocket Racing’s current selection of car models may seem limited compared to games like Forza Horizon 5, which boasts over 800 cars, or the vast variety of character skins available in Fortnite, adding Cars characters could spark new excitement around this emerging game mode. This collaboration would help round out the lineup and offer Fortnite players a more vibrant, engaging experience across multiple areas of the game.
