To conquer the world in Age of History 3, players need to assemble powerful armies and enhance them with the latest technology available. Each game begins with a modest army, with the types of initial units varying depending on the era of the selected scenario or campaign.

As civilizations advance and unlock new technologies, players gain the ability to strengthen and upgrade their units. This guide will walk players through the process of creating armies in Age of History 3 and transforming them into formidable forces.

Building an Army in Age of History 3

To create a new army, players should start by clicking the “Manpower” button at the top of the screen, followed by selecting “Create New Army” in the Land Units menu.

Once in the Create New Army screen, players can choose which units they want to recruit for the new army. After finalizing their selection, they need to pick a province for the army’s formation and click “Create Army.” The selected regions will then begin recruiting the units, and the completed army will appear in the specified location.

Upgrading Units in Age of History 3

In Age of History 3, managing resources like research is essential, as research determines how quickly new technologies—and consequently new unit upgrades—become available.

Once a new unit upgrade is unlocked through research, players can enhance their existing units for a fee. To do this, they should open the “Manpower” menu at the top of the screen, then click on “Upgrade Regiments.” This option appears only when the civilization has researched a technology that upgrades existing units. In the Upgrade Regiments menu, players can either select “Upgrade All Regiments” to update every eligible unit or upgrade individual units by pressing the green arrow that appears over each icon.
