In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the Great Fairy returns as a familiar character from the Legend of Zelda series. However, instead of bestowing magic abilities or enhancing armor, she offers a new feature: the ability to expand the number of Accessories you can equip. This enhancement can significantly improve the quality of life in Echoes of Wisdom gameplay. One valuable Accessory to obtain is the Might Bell, available through the quest titled "The Great Fairy's Request."

How to Complete The Great Fairy's Request

To find the Great Fairy, head to her cave located on Lake Hylia. You can reach this area by traveling north from Lueberry's house or west from Zora Cove. While visiting the Great Fairy, she will allow you to expand your Accessory slots for a fee. Initially, you can add a second Accessory for 100 Rupees, and this can eventually be increased to a total of five slots.

If this is your first encounter with the Great Fairy, you might notice that "The Great Fairy's Request" side quest does not have an immediate marker. To unlock this quest, you must:

1. Upgrade your maximum Accessory slots to four (this requires a total of 900 Rupees).

2. Complete the main quest titled "The Rift on Eldin Volcano."

Once you've accomplished these tasks, a treasure chest will appear next to the Fairy Fountain. Opening it will reward you with a Might Crystal, prompting the Great Fairy to appear. She will then offer you an Accessory that helps detect nearby Might Crystals in exchange for crafting a pendant.

Crafting the Pendant for the Great Fairy

To create the pendant, warp to Gerudo Town and speak with the Gerudo woman in the shop. She will request two items: a Floral Seashell and a Magma Stone. These can be sourced from Sea Zora Village (located in Zora Cove) and Goron City (found in Eldin Volcano) respectively. Once you gather both items, return to the Gerudo woman to complete the pendant.

Locating the Floral Seashell

To find the Floral Seashell, warp to Zora Cove and swim through the cavern leading to Sea Zora’s village. Make your way to the left side to the Sea Zora’s general store. If you have "The Great Fairy's Request" quest active, a red marker will indicate the shopkeeper. He will mention discovering a Floral Seashell and offer it to you in exchange for an unfortunate smoothie.

To create this smoothie, combine two incompatible ingredients. A simple way to do this is to mix two Rock Salt items. Alternatively, you can use Monster Fangs and Monster Guts for the same outcome if you prefer to save Rock Salt for other recipes.

After preparing the unfortunate smoothie, return to the Sea Zora shopkeeper to receive the Floral Seashell.

Finding the Magma Stone

Next, head to Goron City and enter through one of the entrances on the first floor. You will encounter two Goron shopkeepers: one selling potions and the other selling ingredients. Speak to the ingredient seller, who will guide you on obtaining Magma Stones.

You won’t need to fetch the Magma Stone yourself, but you will need to clear out the Lizalfos Den, allowing the shopkeeper to dig for the stone. This is the same location where you and Darston assisted the Goron Elders during the "The Rift on Eldin Volcano" quest.

Once you clear the last room in the den, you will acquire the Magma Stone.

Understanding the Might Bell

The Might Bell operates as described in the game: it rings when there is a nearby Might Crystal. While equipped, an icon representing the Might Bell appears in the bottom-right corner of your screen, adjacent to the minimap. As you approach a crystal, the bell will produce a stronger "ripple" effect along with musical notes.

You may also notice the Might Bell ringing loudly when you are near an NPC, indicating they have a quest linked to Might Crystals or that a Might Crystal is concealed behind a minigame (for example, the Flag Race at Hyrule Ranch).

There are 150 Might Crystals scattered throughout Echoes of Wisdom. A portion of these can be acquired by completing giant rifts (like those in Suthorn Ruins) and optional rifts (such as Stilled Lake Hylia). The rest are hidden across Hyrule or obtainable through side quests and minigames. Once you gather all Might Crystals or enough to completely upgrade your Swordfighter Mode, the Might Bell may no longer be necessary.
