A recent leak from Genshin Impact has unveiled exciting information about Mavuika, the Archon of Natlan, and the Pyro variant of the Traveler. Version 5.0 marks the introduction of the highly anticipated Natlan region, also referred to as the Pyro nation. This expansion has brought a host of significant characters to the forefront, including the new Archon.
In Genshin Impact, Archons play pivotal roles in the story, much like the Travelers, Aether and Lumine. Currently, there are five playable Archons in the game, with Mavuika poised to be the next addition to this esteemed lineup.
A recent post on the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit has shed light on the abilities of Mavuika and the Pyro Traveler. Although HoYoverse has not officially confirmed Mavuika's weapon type, the game's lore indicates that she wields a claymore. The leak details her Elemental Skill, which features both a tap and a hold option.
When players tap the skill, Mavuika transforms her weapon into a Sun Torch, allowing her to launch fireballs. The hold variant has two levels: the first level enables her to dash toward an enemy, entering a Pyro infusion state and executing a powerful area-of-effect (AoE) attack. In the second level, Mavuika shatters her weapon, transforming it into a motorcycle.
While riding this motorcycle, Mavuika inflicts Pyro damage on every enemy she encounters. The leak also hints at Mavuika’s Elemental Burst, which will provide Nightsoul points and enhance her resistance to interruptions. This burst is expected to significantly boost her core stats, resembling the power-up abilities of characters like Cyno or Razor.
In contrast, the Pyro Traveler’s kit appears more straightforward. Their Elemental Skill is expected to trigger an explosion, likely inflicting AoE Pyro damage. Meanwhile, the Traveler's Elemental Burst will summon a floating cannon, indicating that this version of the character may take on a supportive role within the game. Notably, the cannon will remain active on the battlefield even if the Traveler departs.
While these leaks are intriguing, they should be approached with caution, as Mavuika and the new Traveler are still several months away from release. The only confirmed detail regarding their debut is that they will not be featured in the current or the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 5.2, as HoYoverse has already announced two new characters for the next update.
