Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6 Set to Return Players to Penacony

Mark your calendars! The much-anticipated Version 2.6 update for Honkai: Star Rail is set to launch on October 23. Titled "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," this update promises to immerse players in the vibrant setting of Penacony's Paperfold University and introduces an exciting new five-star Imaginary character, Rappa.

On September 10, Honkai: Star Rail players enjoyed the release of Version 2.5, which featured the addition of the five-star Wind character, Feixiao, the five-star Fire user, Lingsha, and the four-star Lightning wielder, Moze. This update, dubbed "Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue," also introduced a long-requested Casual Mode for certain story combat stages, making challenging battles more accessible. While players explored the Xianzhou Luofu in the recent update, Version 2.6 will take them back to one of the game's most beloved locales.

HoYoverse has officially confirmed that the next update, "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," will bring players back to the festive Planet of Penacony. The new banner will feature Rappa, a five-star Imaginary character who follows the Path of Erudition. Additionally, players will have another opportunity to recruit Acheron, Aventurine, and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae.

New Content and Adventures Await

Version 2.6 will also unveil the third DLC for Honkai: Star Rail’s Simulated Universe, following the success of the Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears expansions. Players will discover a massive void within the Simulated Universe, beginning their journey by collecting Scepters and enhancing them with various Components to boost their unique abilities. As players advance, they'll be able to combine multiple Scepters to unlock even more powerful capabilities.

A Peek into the Storyline

The upcoming update's narrative will see the Trailblazer crew diving into student life at Paperfold University. During their academic adventures, they will encounter Rappa, a member of the Galaxy Rangers and a self-proclaimed ninja with a passion for comics, rap, and graffiti art. Rappa is on a quest to track down her arch-nemesis, the Evil Ninja Osaru, and the Trailblazers are eager to assist her. Additionally, players can anticipate the "Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription" event, where they'll take on the role of a band manager for an exciting music party called the Dreamlight Anniversary.

Recent leaks suggest that the four-star Lightning character Tingyun will be receiving a five-star upgrade.
