The upcoming Season 13 of Overwatch 2, launching on October 15, is set to deliver significant changes to several heroes. This update will enhance Mauga and Sojourn, nerf Ramattra and Juno, and implement a comprehensive rework for Sombra. Players can look forward to these adjustments alongside the annual Halloween Terror event and a new seasonal update.
October 15 promises to be an exciting day for Overwatch 2 fans, featuring both fresh and classic game modes, an enchanting refresh of the Battle Pass, and map updates for Circuit Royal, Dorado, Havana, and Numbani. As always, balance adjustments are a staple of each season, and game director Aaron Keller has teased a range of hero modifications in a recent Director’s Take blog.
The highly anticipated rework of Sombra is finally here. Her Stealth ability will see substantial changes; it will no longer activate passively but will instead trigger for five seconds after using her Translocator, which now has a longer cooldown. Furthermore, Sombra's Stealth will briefly flicker when she takes damage or hacks an enemy. In contrast, her Hack ability duration has been shortened to just one second, although she will regain her Opportunist passive, which reveals critically injured enemies and boosts her weapon damage over time.
Tanks
- Ramattra: Pummel in Nemesis Form will no longer pass through barriers but will inflict 2.5 times damage to them.
- Mauga: His Incendiary Chaingun burn effect duration increases from 3 to 4 seconds.
Supports
- Juno: The healing output of her Mediblaster and its falloff range are being slightly reduced.
- Brigitte and Baptiste: Both heroes will undergo adjustments, though specific details are pending.
Damage
- Sojourn: The Railgun will no longer maintain a minimum of 25 energy but will lose charge at a slower rate. Additionally, the Disruptor Shot damage is boosted from 60 to 80 and now generates Railgun charge.
- Sombra: The removal of her Stealth passive is notable. Instead, using the Translocator will grant her 5 seconds of Stealth, with an increased cooldown. The Stealth will only briefly be disrupted when she hacks or takes damage, and her Hack ability lockout has been reduced from 1.5 seconds to 1 second.
As Season 13 unfolds, players will notice that while some heroes face nerfs, such as Juno and Ramattra, others like Mauga and Sojourn are receiving valuable buffs. With significant changes also on the horizon for Brigitte and Baptiste, the community will be eager to see how these updates impact gameplay once Overwatch 2 Season 13 launches on October 15. Get ready to dive into the action and experience these thrilling adjustments firsthand!
