PUBG Mobile has officially partnered with Tekken 8, offering players the chance to engage with three iconic characters from the beloved fighting franchise, alongside a variety of themed items inspired by Tekken. This exciting update is now live for all players.

Launched in 2018, PUBG Mobile is the mobile adaptation of the popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which debuted on PC just three months earlier. Since its release, the game has expanded to consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox, maintaining gameplay elements similar to its PC counterpart, which continues to hold one of the highest peak concurrent player records on Steam.

A new trailer for the themed Prize Path Event has been released to announce this collaboration, featuring an array of Tekken 8-themed sets and items that became available on October 12. This collaboration allows PUBG Mobile players to unlock playable versions of Tekken 8 characters Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, and Nina Williams.

Players can access the 20-level Prize Pack using UC, which grants them immediate access to the Jin Kazama - PP-19 Bizon rifle. While all three characters are included in the Prize Pack, players will only be able to select two of them at levels 10 and 20 to obtain their exclusive emote and outfit. To unlock the third character, players can spend Prize Path Points or UC on Tekken 8 Collaboration Crates. A total of 150 pulls from these crates guarantees that players will receive their desired character.

All Tekken 8 Characters Available in PUBG Mobile Crossover

Crossover events featuring the Tekken series are not entirely new, particularly following the release of Tekken 7. Although the long-standing series initially shied away from including guest fighters, it has since embraced characters like Akuma from Street Fighter and Negan from The Walking Dead. Fans of the franchise have also expressed interest in a crossover with Dead or Alive, but director Katsuhiro Harada has stated that such a collaboration is unlikely, given that there hasn’t been a new mainline DOA game since 2019.

However, not all players are enthusiastic about this latest collaboration with PUBG Mobile. Many online multiplayer shooters frequently introduce crossover content to keep their communities engaged, which can frustrate players seeking a more authentic military experience. PUBG Mobile has previously hosted a variety of crossover events, ranging from collaborations with game series like Resident Evil to popular anime like Dragon Ball, and even children’s songs like Baby Shark.
