Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have announced two exciting events set to launch during the third weekend of October: a Five-Star Tera Raid series and a Mass Outbreak. These events provide players with the opportunity to capture rare Pokémon that are typically obtainable only through trading.

These new activities will kick off shortly after the conclusion of the Infernape the Unrivaled Seven-Star Tera Raid boss event. While players can usually catch and evolve a Chimchar to obtain Infernape, this special version came with unique traits and awarded the coveted Mightiest Mark to those who defeated it.

With Infernape boasting a Rock-type Tera type, it was particularly susceptible to Fighting-type Pokémon. Consequently, trainers developed strategies centered around Pokémon like Kommo-o and Malamar to exploit this weakness. Now that Infernape has exited the Tera Raid dens, fans are left to speculate about the next featured Pokémon.

In the meantime, players eager to complete their Pokédex can look forward to two concurrent events. According to Serebii.net, the Five-Star Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak events will commence on Thursday, October 17, at 8:00 PM Eastern and conclude on Sunday, October 20, at 7:59 PM Eastern. The Five-Star Tera Raid event will showcase Armarouge, Ceruledge, Stonjourner, and Eiscue.

Notably, since Stonjourner and Armarouge are exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, this Tera Raid will give Pokémon Violet players a chance to catch them without needing to trade. Similarly, Pokémon Scarlet players can capture Ceruledge and Eiscue during these Tera Raids. All four featured Pokémon will be at level 75 and can have any Tera type except for the Stellar type. Trainers equipped with a strong level 100 Pokémon that has a type advantage should find it manageable to defeat these Tera Raid bosses.
