In South Korea and Indonesia, New City Safari and Safari Zone events provide ticketed trainers with exclusive Pokemon encounters and rewards. The Pokemon GO City Safari format allows players to explore host cities and earn various rewards. In the upcoming months, global trainers can look forward to the debut of Mega Lucario, the addition of shiny Togedemaru, and a Popplio Community Day.
In September, Pokemon GO will be hosting a new Safari Zone and City Safari event in South Korea and Indonesia. The Safari Zone is a recurring ticketed event that takes players to different locations around the world, while the City Safari format allows trainers to explore the host city itself.
The Safari Zone event has been a part of Pokemon GO since 2017, with players in countries like Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Japan, and Canada previously participating in in-person activities and encountering rare Pokemon. Last year, Niantic introduced the new Pokemon GO City Safari format, which debuted in South Korea and rewarded players with shiny Eeveelutions.
Now, the Pokemon GO City Safari: Jakarta will take place on September 21-22 as part of Pikachu's Indonesia Journey. Trainers can expect to encounter Pokemon like Flying Pikachu, Tropius, and Noibat during the event, and for the first time in Jakarta, they will be able to find Skiddo. A new Special Research will also reward players with an Eevee wearing an explorer's hat. Ticket-holding trainers will enjoy benefits such as an increased shiny rate, longer-lasting Lure Modules, and reduced Stardust costs for trades.

*Pokemon GO Safari Zone: Incheon: September 27-29
The Pokemon GO Safari Zone: Incheon event will take place in Songdo Central Park, South Korea, from September 27-29. During this ticketed event, players will have the opportunity to encounter a variety of rare Pokemon, including Pikachu wearing a safari hat, Feebas, and the Unova region-exclusive Unown letters I, C, and N. Similar to the City Safari event in Indonesia, South Korean trainers with tickets will receive additional benefits, such as more trade opportunities and an exclusive medal.
Beyond the exciting content in Asia, global Pokemon GO players also have much to look forward to in the coming months. Niantic has announced that the highly anticipated Mega Lucario will make its debut during the Ultra Unlock Raid Day. Additionally, the Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event will introduce shiny Togedemaru, and the August Community Day will feature the water-type starter Pokemon, Popplio.
