A recent Genshin Impact leak suggests that a significant quality-of-life update is coming for the game's local specialties, making these valuable in-game resources easier to farm. The leak indicates that players will soon be able to track local specialties directly through the in-game map, enabling them to quickly locate these important materials. This update would continue the trend of Genshin Impact implementing a variety of sweeping quality-of-life improvements throughout the Fontaine cycle, such as changes to daily commissions and World Bosses.

Genshin Impact Leak Hints at Improved Local Specialty Tracking

A new leak from Genshin Impact is teasing a major quality-of-life update to the game's local specialties with the launch of Natlan, making in-game resource farming easier. The popular RPG from HoYoverse features a wide variety of different resources for players to collect, used for powering up characters, weapons, and more. Beyond Primogems as the main gacha currency, players can collect many different types of herbs and ores, as well as farming Talent and Ascension materials from Genshin Impact's Domains.

Local specialties are a core resource within Genshin Impact, serving an important purpose for players looking to level up their characters. Genshin Impact primarily uses its local specialties as materials for players to expend when ascending their Characters, with many also used in different food dishes. Owed to their name, local specialties are also unique to their associated region in Genshin Impact, which can often make farming the limited resources a hassle for many players. Now, Genshin Impact may be looking to ease the local specialty farming grind in a future update.

Genshin Impact Leak Suggests Improvements for Local Specialties

A new leak shared by prominent Genshin Impact leaker Miruko is showing off a helpful quality-of-life update to local specialties. According to the leak, HoYoverse is planning to add a better method of tracking Genshin Impact's local specialties in-game, now showing a blue circle to point out locations for local specialties. The circles on the Genshin Impact map will also feature small icons, denoting precise locations and how many specialties are available in that location. The leak does not confirm when the local specialty quality-of-life upgrade will be introduced to Genshin Impact.

The introduction of a more effective means to track local specialties comes as the HoYoverse RPG is gearing up to add several new regional items to the game. The launch of Natlan in Version 5.0 will likely add multiple local specialties to the game, used to level up the brand-new characters from Genshin Impact's next region. HoYoverse has already confirmed three characters launching alongside Natlan, with Mualani, Kachina, and Kinich all expected to use new items in their Character Ascension. Version 5.0 is currently scheduled to launch in late August.

HoYoverse's aim towards quality-of-life improvements looks to draw in even more players as Natlan's debut approaches.
