Fans are eagerly anticipating the reveal of Lost Ark Mobile at the upcoming G-STAR 2023 event. Smilegate RPG has been developing a mobile version of their acclaimed PC MMORPG Lost Ark for six years, sparking interest around its progress.

Lost Ark Mobile has been in production since 2018 under the supervision of Smilegate CEO Ji Won-gil. The team includes veterans like TD Choi Eui-jong, who has experience with games such as Lost Saga and Icarus.

Won-gil originally launched Lost Ark development at Smilegate in 2011 after leading Chinese outfit Crossfire. In 2016, about 30 staff began work on Project W, though it was halted the following year. After Lost Ark's successful PC launch, a dedicated mobile team was formed.

Entering its sixth year, speculation surrounds Lost Ark Mobile's release timeframe despite no solid date. While some suggest 2025, no evidence confirms this.

Smilegate saw huge financial gains in 2022, with sales over $636 million USD and profit over $330 million USD. Expansion to North America, Europe and China through Tencent positions the company well for growth.

Industry figures anticipate Smilegate achieving top industry ranks if Lost Ark Mobile matches NCsoft's Lineage mobile earnings, which surpassed PC versions tenfold. All eyes are on G-STAR 2023 for the highly anticipated mobile game's inaugural showing.

As news currently only pertains to Korea, global fans eagerly await word of a worldwide version. Lost Ark's broad popularity hints a global unveiling may not be far off. G-STAR promises to offer the first real glimpse at Lost Ark Mobile's long-awaited launch.
