A Surprisingly Large Dog
It's definitely not bad at all but there are some pretty annoying issues, like the game complains about having Networking Issues whenever I try to build a piece of wall but then it let's me build a tower immediately after that. The matchmaking isn't exactly fair a lot of the time either. It's a very basic game, but that's not a bad thing, it just needs more ironing out.

Till the recent update, this was a fun time killer. The update included a few nice things such as the combat rating system that awarded bonus loot for good performance and also now shows all troop health in combat. They also added more tiers and rewards to the trophy system. Now troops have health outside of combat. I have not bothered to figure the exact time but it takes 10 min to heal from 92%. This is a money hog and removes any good from the update and makes it no longer a fun time killer.

Fun enough but I've had a lot of issues with the game crashing. It can also be hard to control sometimes. Units both on the map and when filling boats are tiny and selecting the right one can take a few tries. I've also noticed issues where deploying boats during an attack doesn't always work and you need to either tap a bunch of times to get it to work or you have to find the exact right area to tap in order for it to be recognized.

Really fun and addictive game. The only problem I have is a huge one, however - the AI is terrible. Consistently my troops will blow past a building they are supposed to destroy in order to engage in a meaningless battle on the other side of the island. This completely defeats the purpose of strategically placing your rafts since your troops will just walk past their target anyway. This is a super fun game and would be borderline perfect otherwise - this problem makes me close the app.

The artwork and design is good, and it's not full of ads. However, the game is still pretty symbolic of all that's wrong with mobile gaming. You basically repeat the exact same action over and over again, winning coins each time. When you get enough coins you upgrade something. Then back to repeating that exact same motion over and over again. There's barely any strategy, it's more about repetition than strategy.

I'm updating my review of the game now that my problem not being able to play has been fixed. I like the style of gameplay that is in this game. It reminds a bit of clash of clans. However, it is somewhat pay to win. Within 10 minutes my defense for my base was already close to 10k. It only cost me $4.99. Plus, it's easy to flank enemies bases because the troops target the nearest enemy that they spot first. Overall, good game but could use tinkering.
