Objective:The goal is to have a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without exceeding 21. Aces are worth 1 or 11, face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10, and all other cards hold their face value.
Deck:The game is played with one or more 48-card decks (compared to the standard 52-card deck). This is due to the removal of all the 10-value cards (10s, Jack, Queen, King).
Dealing:
Both the player and dealer are dealt two cards. The player’s cards are dealt face up, while the dealer has one card face up (known as the "upcard") and one face down (the "hole card").
If the dealer’s upcard is an Ace, they typically check for Blackjack before allowing any further play.
Card Values:
Aces are worth 1 or 11.
Face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10.
Number cards are worth their face value.
Spanish Blackjack introduces several rule changes that can be favorable to the player. These include:
1. No 10s in the Deck:
The most notable difference is the absence of the 10s (in addition to the Jack, Queen, and King, which are also worth 10). This makes the total number of cards that are worth 10 reduced, which can slightly alter the odds of the game.
2. Spanish 21 Rules (Player-Favorable Rules):
Blackjack Pays 3:2: A natural Blackjack (Ace + any 10-value card) pays 3:2, just like traditional Blackjack.
Late Surrender: Players can opt for late surrender after the dealer checks for Blackjack. This allows the player to forfeit their hand and lose only half of their bet if they don't want to continue.
Doubling Down: Players can double down on any number of cards, including after splitting. This is a favorable option for players who want to increase their bet when they feel good about their hand.
Doubling After Split: Players are allowed to double down after splitting a pair. This is often restricted in standard Blackjack, so it provides more flexibility here.
Splitting: Players can split any pair, including Aces, and often can re-split up to 3 times, for a total of 4 hands.
Double Down Rescue: If a player doubles down and ends up with a weak hand, they can be allowed to "rescue" their bet by drawing additional cards without being forced to stand, giving more chances to improve their hand.
Player 21 Always Wins: In Spanish 21, if the player has a hand totaling 21, it always wins, even if the dealer also has a 21. In traditional Blackjack, a dealer’s Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) will tie with a player's Blackjack, but in Spanish 21, the player always wins in this case.
3. Dealer's Play:
The dealer must hit if their hand totals 16 or less and stand on 17 or higher, just like standard Blackjack.
In some versions of Spanish Blackjack, if the dealer has a 6 showing, they may have to stand on a "soft 17" (Ace + 6), which is less common in traditional Blackjack games.
Example Round:
Let’s run through a simple example of a hand in Spanish Blackjack:
Player’s Cards: Ace + 5 → Total: 16 (soft 16, meaning the Ace is counted as 11). Dealer’s Upcard: 7.
The player can choose to hit, stand, or double down. If they choose to hit, they receive a 3, bringing their total to 19 (soft 16 + 3 = 19).
The player decides to stand on 19.
The dealer now reveals their hole card: 10 → Total: 17.
The dealer must stand on 17.
Result: The player’s 19 beats the dealer's 17, so the player wins.
Payouts:
Blackjack: Pays 3:2 (for a natural 21).
Player 21: If the player hits exactly 21, it wins outright, even if the dealer also has 21.
Winning Hand: Pays 1:1.
Surrender: Half of the player's bet is returned if they choose to surrender.
Insurance: If the dealer's upcard is an Ace, players can take insurance, which pays 2:1 if the dealer has Blackjack.
Strategy Tips:
Focus on Doubling Down: Spanish Blackjack offers favorable options for doubling down, especially since you can double down after splitting, giving you more opportunities to capitalize on strong hands.
Late Surrender: If you're dealt a weak hand against a strong dealer upcard (especially a 9, 10, or Ace), consider surrendering to minimize your losses.
Splitting: Always split Aces and 8s. Splitting 6s and 7s is often a good idea depending on the dealer’s upcard.

There needs to be a chip to play that is between a thousand and a million. A 100k chip would be perfect.

Odds are too high in favor of the dealer to try to get u to buy chips. Unrealistic in how often they hit 21.
