Very involved 8 - bit RPG. Enjoyed it! Worth every penny.

Aidinia has attractive, nostalgic graphics (I quite like the sprite work on enemies), but there are several issues with the game. The script is dodgy at times, with poor English and a far from compelling story. Combat is fun and simple, Dragon Quest style, but is very slow for a mobile game with small things such as combat icons individually loading in as opposed to all popping in at once slowing down the experience. The actual display is very small, filling up perhaps a third of my phone's screen (which isn't very large- I have a Droid X2). I don't know if this is because of the way they handled their sprite work, but it does seem to be lazy and it makes an otherwise suitably attractive game hard to look at due to how tiny everything is. The display is also off-center on my screen, whereas the virtual buttons are perfectly fine. All of that said, the game costs a dollar. If you are looking for a simple Dragon Quest 1 clone, then this may do the job.

This game is fun. The path isn't obvious, the grinding is kept to a minimum and there isn't any useless modern 'polish' to it, it just feels like playing an average gameboy RPG, which isn't bad for a buck.
