It's really good. Will run even on the good 'ol Nexus 5 very well. It has some issues though, like UI taking up too much screen, with controller map zoom being too sensitive(should be one unit/trigger press), after chopping trees collection of items doesn't work sometimes, when holding torch burning down your home is too easy, scrolling through inventory with controller kinda sucks and so on, minor issues.

I love DST, its a great game. Though theres some small bugs i found while playing. When trying to customize the world, the main menu music stops and the game freezes, meaning not being able to customize a new world. Another very small bug was that sometimes there would be audio glitches, ex. Cutting down tree sounds wont be working sometimes, deerclops audio wouldent trigger sometimes. And when it does it cuts off mid groan. Love DST and would love if they fixed the custom world screen.

next to hardcore level survival. if your new, and you just love exploring and finding out what you can do to survive from scratch, this is definitely for you. no tutorials, no guidelines, it's your knowledge in both games and survival irl knowledge that will carry you. you can search for guides but i feel like it kills the fun. you need controller for this, I don't recommend playing on touch screen due to the in-game controll limitations for touch screen. great game, touch controll needs work.

I honestly am super disappointed by the mobile version of the game. The game is basically identical to the PC version (which I love) but the controls just dont cut it. There are so many bugs from placing items and planting things, to difficulty opening chests and interacting with the environment. This game would have 5 stars if the developer would fix the gameplay and make the controls work better. Please patch this game!!

The game itself is great and it's awesome to have a full port of ds to android. However, the touch controls are absolutely terrible to say the least, and in general the UI is clunky. Borderline unplayable unless you use a Bluetooth controller which fixes the control problem. Unfortunately the game also has some annoying sound bugs, and it also seems to dip below 60fps often which it shouldn't on a snapdragon 865 soc. It's a shame but right now don't starve on Android is pretty unoptimized.

The perfect way to pass some time. (If you like DST). But the controls are a little unrefined like how your character can get (forever) stuck attacking something until you move a screen away from said target. And how you can touch things through the hud (causing you to open chests, store things in the wrong place, attack, or pick objects.) It is certainly unrefined but... I don't have a but I'm annoyed. 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Same game, but barely playable. Attacking causes the screen to minimize and pause. Every other in-game day the controls, including the menu and map, will freeze while the game is still running, which ensures death if you don’t close the game entirely and lose progress. One time one of my files reverted back to day 1 world creation even though I had been on day 30, so all my progress evaporated into nothing. Fix. This. Game.

Buggy, but besides that the controls really are come and go with this. Some work well, but some of the inventory stuff sucks. Setting walls is impossible as you really can't see the exact spot it's going, then it wastes resources. Besides that this game is sparingly fun. I get that's the genre and what some people like, but this one is just too punishing at times.

I've seen this game around for years but never wanted to try it because of the animation style. However, after reluctantly giving it a try I'm sad I never played this earlier. I accustomed to the style very quickly and it has become one of my favorites. This is a fantastic survival game that is simple yet in-depth. It has a dark, spooky theme which I really enjoy, as well. It is an open world, crafting survival game that is beautifully 2D with small elements of base-building. Good luck!
