GPSmycity enhanced my holiday greatly! I was travelling solo (without the benefit of my partner, who is a history and architecture buff) and your app enabled me to have long walks in Bologna, Turin and Paris, focussing on places of interest. Easy to use. If I wandered off the route to explore something else I could easily rejoin it. I heartily recommend it!

Different bits of important information are on different screens so prepare to click around constantly to figure out where you are going. If you touch the wrong thing it throws an ad in your face. GPS location is always wrong by a few blocks. All in all, an aggravating experience. It does have lots of information tucked inside this horrible interface.

Used the app for the first time on our recent trip to Santa Fe New Mexico. Found the sight descriptions were very good. We only did portions of the historic walking tour which worked well. Especially like the ability to to pick an individual site and get directions to it, very useful in a new city where you are unfamiliar with the layout. Some features take a little time to get to know how to use but gets much easier the more you use. So far very happy with the app

Very useful in terms of helping map read around the main sights (in Prague). Although as I am paying, I would prefer to turn off all the commercial / shops (maybe I have not found the option yet). GPS feed seems a little slow but could be because of being in the city with high buildings. The custom walk feature was great to build your own routes. Only just found the bike ride option which I will try out next time

I used this app on a recent trip to France and really liked it. It was perfect for self-guided walking tours and some have audio which is preferable when walking around and not having to read your phone. Big plus for using offline and not needing a local data plan. They also have travel articles that you can build your own custom walking tour from. I recommend the tutorial first since I missed a lot of the useful functionalities the first time using it.

Bait & switch! Not until the app is downloaded and you finish downloading the maps of the city you want, do they tell you that you need to pay to take any of those audio tours. Otherwise it's just a bunch of free articles about various scenic spots in the city - which are anyway just a Google search away. Hard pass!

Once you get into the app, requires payment of 12.99 to do anything. Misleading to list as free. EDIT: I have no problem paying for apps. I have a problem when it is misrepresented as free. The name has GPS in it, but anything that requires this is pay. Just be up front about it. Maybe spend less time arguing with the bad reviews and edit yourself to be a better representation

I think the sight descriptions are very educational. I am vaguely familiar with Chicago and its architecture, but was happy to find tidbits of information that I didn’t know before. I really like the fact that other peripheral buildings that aren’t necessarily on the Mag Mile tour are also referenced. I was able to see a grocery store on the map and go in and grab a snack while on my walk. The nav functions were easy to use and very self-explanatory.

Used the App for our trip to Italy. It worked well in Rome, and Florence out in the open but as in any city when the streets get narrow and the walls higher, my GPS would loose signal. Taxi drivers keep at least 2 GPS on their dashes. Not a fault of the App. I didn't have my cell data plan on so WiFi worked when I picked it up. We used it as an addition to our tours that we booked to see if there was any sites we missed. Little slow between screens but that will speed up with newer releases. I highly suggest using this app as a supplemental tool to a real tour. The price point for upgrades can't be beat.
