I'm just starting to use the app and so far I like it well. The navigation between sections could be more intuitive though (as some other reviewers have already mentioned). One suggestion I'd like to propose is to include in the database TV series. Nowadays many scriptwriters, directors and actors are jumping between both types of media and I reckon it would make sense to be able to rate and review series alongside films on this app.

Personally love this app. Stylish look, overall easy to use, and great database- even the weirdest random horror films I watch seem to all be there. My biggest issue is that hitting the plus button in the bottom right automatically takes you to write a review for the film you searched. But I hit the plus because I want to ADD a film to my watchlist. Maybe this is just my weird brain, but it's annoying. I have also had the issue with ads opening in my browser, w/o clicking, which is troubling.

There are lots of features on this app. The community here is very passionate and knowledgeable. The first problem is just that many times when i use this app, it took a while to load all the content. The second problem is the lack of a autocomplete feature that can help a lot when i try to search something. The third problem is that when i want to see other people's watchlist or what movies other people watched, there are many times the pictures of the movies didn't appear. So please fix it.

Definitely the lead in terms of movie reviewing/cataloguing apps, I'm really happy to see it grow and evolve over time. The only thing I would add is a "home" button to go back to the main page, it is kinda annoying to have to go back multiple times after going on a deep search going from movie to actor to various profiles etc. Keep up the great work

For the insane amount of time it took for this to be released, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality. It is very barebones and pales in comparison to the website. And better yet, the first thing that occurred when I went to log a film, it shut down on me. Hopefully future updates can fix this, and add more polish. Until then, I'll stick to the website. 1 year later: it has gotten a bit better. Load times are still very slow, and notifications for comments and discussion are non-existent. It's hard to socialise when the app does not support it. At least keeping up the film diary has gotten simpler.

Been logging every movie I've watched with Letterboxd since last year. Since I'm a projectionist — movies are my literally my thing, and Letterboxd has made it super easy to keep track of stuff. Ordinarily it would get 5 stars, but I just cannot recommend it after the recent update. The ads are too intrusive now and harm the user experience. It is possible to remove them but $20 annually is just too much. Do yourself a favor and find an APK for an older version instead.

This app is great and has a clean, easy to navigate layout. The only gripe I have is that sometimes (fairly often, actually) when writing a review on mobile, there might be a chance that you accidentally touch or swipe the screen a certain way which will dismiss the window, and delete the entire review you were working on. Can this be fixed somehow? It seems way too easy to unintentionally delete the progress of a review after typing it out for 10+ minutes.

I love Letterboxd, coming from someone who describes themselves as a Cinephile this site is a godsend, but unfortunately the app has a lot of issues. Inconsistent is the word I'd use. Randomly crashing, not loading pages. These wouldn't be massive issues if they didnt happen so often. The desktop page works great, but Letterboxd really needs to work on the app side of their service because it's just been getting worse. I will still support this service, but these issues need to be fixed.

While the concept and the general delivery of the app is great, it has a few bugs that make it annoying to use. For example, say you're halfway through a list of 1000 movies, if you decide to click into one for more information and then return to the list, you will be taken back to the beginning of the list. This is such an annoying feature, and puts me off either looking at lists or checking for more information when going through lists. Small things like this make a great app not so great.
