They rolled out a forced login requirement where previously the system worked fine locally without relying on a cloud system. Now the app randomly asks me to sign in again before I can even turn on my lights. All they need to do to solve this is to give us the local-only option back. The claim they make about improved security is an excuse. I'm not giving out my WiFi password to the general public, so I don't need a local hue password. Not sure I could recommend this brand at all anymore.

You want my personal information to control a light sure, love, mothers maiden name, first pet, social security and banking love it... Not to invasive at all, plus sign in everytime, so that the app cant even work with one light better than Wiz can, Love it.

App has been the same, but good for many years. Recently they changed the behavior for all dimmer switches to be time based which has messed up all my settings for every room. Why would you do this? I've also found that it's not very intuitive on how to move lights or switches to different rooms. App has gotten a bit bloated over the years and needs to be streamlined.

Why does the go to sleep automation first fades up to 100% brightness even when it was on 50% to go then all the way back down to 0%. Its like it wakes me up first to sleep then. this function is useless like this.

Pitiful. I had reinstalled and couldn't find the bridge after signing in. Had to go through multiple hoops to not sign in, connect to the bridge and then sign in. Trying to drag the light to a room seems like a bad video game. Turns out you have to long press to get it to move. Works after all that, but I have mostly moved to smart switches instead of the "smart" bulbs.

DO NOT INSTALL THE NEW UPDATE Jun 3rd. It killed 2 of my lights. Both working fine for at least a year and now doesn't respond after update. These lights are too expensive to be broken by a poorly done software update bug.

Out of home control does not work anymore. I'm connected to my bridge, I'm logged into my account, but the option for oohc is just not there. Again why does this app get worse and worse? This is frustrating because this technology is so friggin expensive ffs.

They took away the hue sync app and crammed it this app. My hue sync will not pair with this new version it gets to the last step and sits forever cause the time to live on all sync processes is infinite and added with no retry or cancel function when a process has clearly failed causes infinite loops forcing me to hard close the app. I paid you for goods and services, they provided only goods. Bewary!
