Have had my wifi smoker for a year with no issues. Now it keeps loosing wifi connection. And there are no options for notifications in Android.

The app has constant connectivity issues. I can't check the status of the grill through this app unless I'm standing right next to the grill (defeats the purpose), otherwise, it doesn't connect to bluetooth, or wifi. Also won't connect over data. Never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness my wife has an iPhone because the Apple version of the camp chef app works pretty dang good on her phone.

The smoker works great, but the app does not. On the rare occasion that the app works, I love it. Unfortunately, the vast vast vast vast majority vast vast of the time, the app will not connect with the smoker via Bluetooth or wifi, rendering many of the features for which I specifically purchased this smoker instead of many alternative options impotent. I really hope they fix the app.

Why does this work so well on ios but absolute garbage on android? The reason I got this smoker over other brands was the remote control and monitoring. The flame went OUT on the grill and was out for HOURS. No notification or anything! Just a lump of room temp meat! Give us a persistent notification if the grill is on with the current status of the grill and improve connectivity!

This version of the app is trash. It disconnects from the smoker and will not reconnect unless you put the Bluetooth pin in again, over and over. I had to uninstall the app and go find an older apk that works, like the one from June. Please fix it soon. I'm tired of uninstalling the latest one just to reinstall an old version, it's getting old.

The app is fine, but really needs graphing capability of temperature readings from each port vs time, and cook history. It would be very helpful. Please update the app to include graphing and cook history! Also, very important: the connectivity issues commonly mentioned are a hardware problem - not a software problem. The controller on the grill itself uses a low gain, PCB antenna mounted inside of the controller enclosure. What do you get with a low gain antenna enclosed in a box? Poor signal reception and unreliable connectivity. I opened up the controller, disconnected it, hooked up a medium-gain "rubber duck" Wifi antenna mounted magnetically to one leg of the grill, connected via cable to the port the PCB antenna was hooked up to, and everything is rock solid reliable now. Only had to drill one small hole.

It was a reliable and mostly great app until the recent update broke the notifications. My phone's settings screen even claims this app does not send notifications and therefore you can't even enable them

Last week worked fine. This week said it needed a firmware update. Now instead of a fancy smoker I can check with my phone, I have a dumb smoker I have to walk outside to check. Fixed something that wasn't broken and now it's broke.
