SP+ in NYC is trying to use SpotHero, but fees aren't clearly listed and then if you are late they charge more than the posted daily max. Next time, it's better to just find a parking garage and go by the posted rates.

First time user. I booked parking one day ahead. However, the parking lot has closed when I arrived. I can't cancel through app and contacted support team without response, lesson learned!

I have used SpotHero for years, but I will think twice about using it now. The lot only charges $12 for evening parking and I paid $20!!! Yikes! That is too much of a markup to justify advance purchase.

I had to work in downtown Detroit for 5 straight days during the 2024 NFL Draft. Nightmare parking scenario, historically speaking. Spot Hero found the lowest rate around, and it was literally 500 ft from the installation I was working during the show! I'll never guess at event parking again!

Great experience until my parking pass didn't work at 1am. A handful of other people at the garage I was at were having the same problem and they couldn't get out so they broke the gate. I then tried to buy a pass for another garage and kept getting an error. Spothero is so big that it doesn't have any serious competitors and I wish it was more reliable.
