I love this app - it's the only book-tracker I've ever gotten on with. I'm so grateful someone on my English PhD course recommended it! Perfect for my needs! [Edit: My previous query (see below) has been solved! My only tiny issue with it is that the "edition" button is so tiny I often forget to press it and then have to delete the whole journal on the book and redo it with the correct edition (e.g. the default is usually paperback but I'm reading the digital/audiobook).]

Storygraph is brilliant. It's a far superior platform to the Amazon-owned Goodreads, the transition over is easy and it is a far better user experience. You are provided with actual useful recommendations, your reading history is put into wonderful charts and graphs and since I have started using it there have been updates which have added to my experience! Go Team Storygraph!

This app is awesome!!! It's just like Goodreads, except that it provides so much more data!! Things like what kind of pacing or vibes a book has is listed and, based on my experience, is spot on!! I also love the social aspects, which include buddy reads and read alongs. These are done better than in discord, as comments are hidden until you mark that you've read past the page number required! All really well done, totally free, and a great UI. Can't recommend it more.

The app is really good! Love the personalized stats and amazing recommendations. Just that I hope there's an option to view the books in grid? I'm a visual person, when I want to look for a certain book, it's easier to look for the cover. Sometimes I think one or two book take too much space in one screen view.

I absolutely love this app - I've been using it since June 2020 and it's everything I could want! It has amazing stats, great additional questions when you leave a review, better recommendations than Goodreads ever gave me, and they're always adding new features! I truly truly recommend this app to track your reading - and I read 170 books a year so I do a lot of tracking! It even imports a Goodreads library to make the transition easier. Give it a try!

**Edit - Great response from developer and it's fantastic that the reason the app is bombing is because they are doing so great! Updating stars for now and will properly review when I can fully use the app . Looking for something other than Goodreads. App is slow and unresponsive, and clicking over to certain areas like friends/ connections just leads to a blank screen.

I ended up here after seeing it from all Goodreads girlies but not a fan. I've used Dante for years and is still my favourite app. The only things I would take from here is DNF and the rating system - Don't like the way to add reading dates. Having a separate scroll bar for day-month-year is not intuitive. - The stats are ok but not a great improvement from my current app. - The recommendations never loaded and didn't work entirely for me. - Can't track progress directly on home screen.

I don't find it particularly good at giving recommendations- I don't know if it's me and I don't use proper tags or don't word my tropes correctly- but out of the 10 + books recommended to me only one book turned out to be what I sort of wanted. It works well as an app to keep track of all the books I have on my kindle, which is what I used to use Goodreads for (Goodreads keeps crashing so I looked for an alternative). I like the graphs analyzing my reading habits.
