Servers are connected to the wrong locations and the wrong country s outdated software Android version horrible not working at all right it tells you shut off all antivirus but that doesn't help because the app automatically shuts down if you take the bookmark off horrible connection issue it is not free at all but it says free and paid I tried to get free never worked then they make you take a trial plan after getting all your personal info cost more than Express VPN and Nord VPN

This does not work. You have an option to start a 30 day trial and even asks for phone number to send a text to activate. I'm currently waiting for this text and if you attempt to reenter or switch the number. You get a message saying that you did to many attempts and contact support. Please fix this.

I am reading people have issues in China lately, I have been using astrill in China for the past 5 years and I am satisfied, sure sometimes its a bit iffy but which VPN isn't, most of the time it works great. Watching Netflix and BBC everyday on apple, android and Windows. Server selection is the key. Australia 1 works 99%of the time and most of the Americas. I wish Windows and android would have speed test option like Apple, makes it easier to find a working server when China pushes the firewal

In China app works bad. You have to change servers all the time and even specialized servers for China don't work. It takes a lot of time for finding one which works at this moment. The speed is quite low. Do not recommend to buy this app for using in China.

Terrible. Astrill is a bad joke. It connects fairly consistently but it's a mystery as to how it's actually keeping data private. Further, they force you to purchase an endless array of gimmicky add-ons when you have trouble connecting.

As a VIP user I haven't had much issues using this in China. However, if you are using wifi with low latency or non commercial internet it sometimes varies. Overall I am satisfied with the service provided and customer support have been helpful when contacted.

BE CAREFUL !! They have stolen me 100$ I think! I paid a year subscription two weeks ago and when I tried to access for the first time didn't work! Then I tried to log into my account and it said it was blocked! I connected the live support... It's useless, they never solve anything and tell you to send an email to what they call astrillsuport... I send them more than 5 emails, they just never reply, never! It's impossible to contact them and I feel like they have stolen me the money...

Live in China so a vpn is essential. This one has been freezing upon connection randomly. I have to force close. Updated to the new version and it still freezes. Not sure what the issue is.

I tried various VPNs such as Express, Nord, Surfshark, Proton, HotspotShield, Psiphon and a self-hosted Wireguard but none of them work/d for me in China, the only two that do is Astrill and LetsVPN. Astrill is good for up to five devices and LetsVPN is good for 2 or less devices. Would be good if they offered a money back garentee sign-up like many of the other VPN options, even if it only gave say an hour of access just so new customers can try the service before subscribing.
