Once the socket is linked to the WiFi - which the app does fairly well, the app works well. Though I have linked mine to Google so haven't used the advanced options available in the app. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is there are some spelling mistakes where the translation to English is not quite right. Otherwise good app and needed for initial setup.

Okay product, rubbish software. Plugs and sockets are okay, WiFi on the 2.4 only can be abit short range. But the app is appalling! For Luceco brand, you would expect better, but daylight savings just tipped it over to rubbish. I just had to re do all of my timers due to daylight savings. Change all by an hour. When you have over 4 sockets, with multi timers, that have specific timers, this makes it a waste of time as I have to change them all myself. Don't bother and try tp link or others.

23/11/22 APP NOT LOADING! Since yesterday the app just keeps showing the loading sign, and nothing else comes up which means I can't control the intensity of the light in my home! 09/02/23 UPDATE: reinstalled and issue still occurring 20/05/23 Issue still ongoing. Sometimes app works, sometimes it doesn't! Constant loading sign. Very annoying

Read reviews before buying. Installing these sockets are an absolute nightmare! Avoid these. I have a ton of smart plugs that take seconds to install with the app and links automatically with alexa. I thought I'd upgrade to sockets to lose the bulky plugs. Don't do it. As everyone says above, these don't work with dual band WiFi...2.4ghz only. Having to mess about with a sky router just to make the product work is a joke. On the plus side..works as a basic plug and looks nice.

Very difficult to get working. As posted earlier this app failed to work on my android version 6. But persistence pays off. Finally got working using ipad app. This also had problems finding the Smartplug. First attempt I used my Guest WiFi set to 2.4Gh. This failed even when in AP mode the WiFi had connected to the plug, the ipad failed to see the Smartplug. Finally I had success by splitting my main WiFi into 5Gh & 2Gh and utilising the 2Gh side. Once installed and linked up it looks good.

It's great that a company has made smart sockets at a decent and competitive price. There is a couple of things that could be easier and should be improved. 1: connecing the socket to the wifi isn't easy if your not technically minded it requires 2.4Ghz when most WiFi routers run on 5Ghz 2: There is no password reset on app, it's a bit pain because you need to uninstall the app then reinstall the app to reset the password.

Sockets can't handle full length WiFi encryption, bestit can handle is 16 characters, far short of the encryption key length I like to use. App as others say is as good as useless. Instaled on 3 different devices and only 1 was able to connect the socket to the router, since linking to Google home, none of the device see the sockets online, yet tell Google to switch them on/off and it works, bit odd that the manufacturer's app can't see them.
