When my wired Ring doorbell/camera is working, it's a great thing to have. I've had for 2 years, and since this past Halloween, it's gone offline twice for no apparent reason when my other Ring products are still working. It displays an error code of P1-78. It seems a lot of folks experience this problem as well.

The plus side for the Ring doorbell is it does chime when someone is on the front porch. However, even with that notification the image doesn't come through for two to three minutes! The down side for the Ring doorbell is the short battery life. This winter it has been an average of every 10 days. And the images, when they do come through, are often blurred and poor quality. In fairness I add that I have had my Ring doorbell over five years.

With regards the app it's not too bad working with the ring security floodlight camera, however with using with the ring doorbell it's useless. The doorbell rarely stays connected to the Internet even though signal is good and always green. It misses motion and then doesn't record Untill I reset through app or via button on back , then it's fine for a week or so then goes wrong again.

Ring is a big name in home security devices, I have had ring door bell for a year now, and I will not continue with Ring, I have a couple of issues with doorbell, video quality is poor, freezing, I even lost the ability to talk to whoever was at my door. the subscription charge is far to high, especially when there are other products out there without subscription charges, yes they are more expensive, after a couple of years I will get my money back if I had kept Ring.

The app freezes everytime I try to live view or play back something. It crashes and never lets me watch anything. Even reinstalling the app didn't work. Please figure out something because im paying a decent amount of money for the service. You guys need to fix this bug because it is making me crazy. The calender is not even coming out. Please do something about the app or i want my money back.

If you don't subscribe, you will get a lot of False motion detection alerts, including when it rains. it has become a nuisance. I am seriously considering replacing it a week or so after the free month subscription was over. With a subscription, as in during the free trial period, it worked very well. if you do not want to pay monthly fees, I am sure there are better options.

It works okay but the video quality could be better and the sound quality could be A LOT better, it's also really annoying because the first few seconds of the video has no audio so you sometimes miss important parts of the recording, also not a fan of how it stops recording after a few seconds like it only gets a small clip but if someone is in front of your door moving around for a whole minute or more you won't get the whole video unless you go live but sometimes you may not be watching

Absolutely useless. The app arbitrarily threw me out and then refuses to allow me to access it claiming I have never used the device I use! Probably be better off using a decent make of alarm. Oh,and try getting someone to talk to and not a bot!! Very disappointed. We will look to change the system as thisnt manageable. Poor customer service here Ring.

Update..... The camera doesn't seem to pickup the alerts I have setup. It misses motion detection when needed ,but likes to record and alert everything I don't want. Debating on removing this system entirely and go with a better and more reliable system. Previous review.... Alerts come on average 3-5 mins after motion is detected....Not much I can do then. When I click on motion alerts it takes forever to load live screen.
