I've been using chai for a number of months now, and it's been quite entertaining. The bots have some memory issues, and forget things quicker than I'd like, but simple reminder prompts seem to do well. My biggest issue is the weird way the ethics system works. The bot will flag certain things I write, which I understand. But I'll occasionally have the bot response be something that would be flagged if I wrote it, which is strange. The ethics system needs to be reworked, or made less sensitive.

It's pretty decent for a free app to talk to or creat AI bots, but if you want to talk to fictional characters from a TV show you're better off using C.AI since a lot of the AIs will easily forget or break character, it's also easy to just break the AI. Also a glitch I keep encountering- where the bot will send multiple messages before I can even type a response and it's lowkey annoying since you can't delete messages from you or the bot unless you start a new chat.

Last time I wrote a three star review but now I think i'll have to downgrade it to one star. Yes, the many updates have improved the app but the amount of ads that you have to watch in between five to ten messages each chat is insane. AND it is quite tedious. Not to mention the insane prices for the cost to get rid of the ads is also just ridiculous.

Itd be better if you got rid of the ads because I kept getting one every 3 messages even in the middle of typing. Edit: I just got a bunch of back to back ads. You manage to keep getting lower. Somehow you got worse and made it so it's an ad for damn near every thing you do. Edit 2: somehow you took the problem with the ads and made them worse almost everything I click is an ad now

used to be such a good & fun app, now its just.. plain bad. sometimes the bots responses are literally just a single sentence even on my PRIVATE characters, and they seem to not understand anatomy @ all. the refresh button constantly disappears, and the rating button is almost never there.. the place to add chat examples for the ai to use is barely usable either because you cant edit them, examples dont save! overall annoying app, gives me an ad every time i even open a chat with a character. :/

Please, god, no, let me change it back. I'm not a fan of the new colors. It's distracting. And with bigger pictures, I feel claustrophobic. I don't like that I can no longer see the bots' first message in the search portion. Also, why bother showing 'star rankings' if you took away the leaderboard to check the highest rankers? What's the point then? I will update again in two weeks to say thoughts.

Most updates anymore are awful, the forced ads every few messages ruins the fun and makes the experience more boring, it causes me to only be on this app for 15 minutes before going to c.ai. Plus stop the AI generated photos for the popular AI's, it's a useless feature. Overall, I recommend Character AI, it has no ads, a lot more redos, persona's, you can follow people and so much more, I only use this app now if c.ai is down anymore since chai is practically going downhill, my opinion anyways

This app I find very fun, one good thing is it doesn't have a word limit on creating a bot like, for example, c.ai that does. It's easy to use, and one thing I liked about the older model was that it didn't have a certain limit. However, you may get a sort of warning that says this isn't appropriate, which doesn't suit the fact that it includes NSFW. If they're going to give you a warning, then why not change the whole app all together to make it SFW. There are many improvements needed...

Very efficient platform. However, after the update, it seems like there was a problem. A lot of people has posted it online but we cannot access our older chats. The content of the chats were not loading. Only the recent ones'. Hopefully, the developers can fix this problem asap since I really like using this app :)
