Stability & reliability are trash. Cannot reliably adjust times or grant kiddos requests for extra time (or block use reliably). I am in the midst right now of troubleshooting yet again this app. Will be switching to Norton family. This is extremely frustrating and *not* a rare occurrence (maybe 25-30% failure rate). It's 2 stars and not 1 because when it does work, it's great. I had the same issues with MS Your Phone App.

I like this app. Notwithstanding that it sometimes doesn't work, it's still good. I would like to have ability to group the apps, maybe sites too, and apply filter and time limits for the group, not individual applications. Simple example: I want to limit games and YouTube, but I don't want to limit the teams or excel.

It works great, but for some reason it conflicts with my son being able to have focus mode on his phone (a specific schedule that he can set up himself, which I think is the best way to do things). But I appreciate the way we can create a schedule and help him focus when he needs to and not be tempted to use his technology after bed and so on. It has been really helpful!

Actually thought Microsoft had brought out an app that would be multiplatform (it's not). I want to be able to set screen time of say 3hours and then have that shared across all devices. As far as I can see, it works on Windows and XBOX, but cannot limit screentime on Android or iOS. I still need to use separate apps for them (Family Link and Qustodio). What's the point??? I want all devices to be controlled from one central app. Hopefully this will improve.

You would hope that the Android app would have the same or better features than the web app, but it doesn't. I was hoping to use it to easily manage screen time for my children, but this feature is either only available from the web site it is not implemented in the same menu system on the Android app. Further, the app also pesters you for permissions that don't make sense: why did it need to always know my location or dodge battery optimization, when hardly use it anyway!? I'm not impressed.

This app barely makes it possible to manage family settings, but the design and implementation is woeful. It is so unintuitive if you actually have children, I'm not sure the designers had a clue in this area. Many many taps to get where you need to go. With 2x children the pain is double. Inability to adjust screen limits without actually enforcing existing ones, blocked games at bottom of list, can't adjust to nearest 15 mins. List goes on and on and on how poor this app is.

Takes forever to update adjusted screen time.. adding it or taking it away just doesn't even seem to work. This is the same with my wife's phone also. Unlike Google's Family Link which seems to update almost instantly. Another MS fail. Their XBOX Family app is flakey too. Couple of years later and still same issues.. nothing's changed.

Echoing everyone's screentime issues. This app used to be glitchy, but now it just straight up doesn't work. Does not load anymore. Same with the Xbox family app. Same with the website. I can't give any extra time anymore unless I physically add it on the Xbox with the controller.

For whatever reason, the app is not working. My husband has reached out multiple times via email and he can't get any one to respond. We have tried deleting to reactivate & it won't even allow me to delete the app. We have force closed it to restart & even tried rebooting our phones. It's still not working! It shows my last location & my husband's as being updated days ago. We have tried everything. It's getting very frustrating especially since we can't get a response when reaching out.
