Additional Review 04/28/24 - recent update has affected accuracy of the app. Drives aren't showing, map is so small bc of ads & lower sliding details screen won't slide down, & lost availability to get place alerts, now says to get place alerts I have to upgrade to Gold when I had them before. Been a user for many years not sure why we would've lost this option. Updated review 1/30/22- been using for years and LIFE360 has been good. Sometimes it has its quirks, but developers are responsive.

It's getting so bad at pinging locations. Several times I would get the "notification" that someone was home hours after they got there or the fact that when I try to update the location it says "can't loacte" until an hour later. I use it to make sure everyone gets to work safe, I live somewhere that I see accidents on a daily but I can't trust this app to give me good enough info so I'm back to calling to make sure that everyone is safe.

It seems to have stopped working properly...only updating a location every few minutes, if at all...it used to show a vehicle in motion...not any more. All settings are correct. Ive been using the sustem for about 5 years so I know how to work things...time for a change,.sadly

I absolutely love this app. I appreciate knowing where all my kids are and especially the speed of the vehicle they are in. I also love that the basic tracking is free. For the upgraded services, it's annual fee is expensive upfront- $200- but maybe no needed as much. I gave it 4 stars though because somehow it seems like my kids can turn their tracking on and off themselves and I don't like that. It shouldn't ever give them the option. Great app though.

5/5/24 very good /great for a free service!!! Very pleased. 8/20/23 it seems to have improved from feb. 22. Delays are far less noticeable. Occasionally it just won't locate. But I am using the free service. Maybe the pay service is better. Able to follow my wife as she drove across the state. 2/7/22 aa many others have said, notifications are very delayed from actual times.

Works as expected, good for cross platform family following. Great when family are doing long trips rather than calling them while driving. I have edited my review from 5 to 2, this used to be great, now, every time you open it, there are ads for either tile or subscribing to gold features. I didn't want them yesterday, I don't want them today, and I'm not going to want them tomorrow.

This app is absolutely bleeding my battery dry. I dropped 20% overnight, but before installing it, that'd be more like 4%. Please do something to reduce the battery usage. This is insanely power hungry. And it's not like my phone is old, it's literally just doing too much in the background. Maybe you need to set up an algorithm that detects when there's movement, and increase/decrease GPS checks based on that. I'm not sure I can keep using this app, let alone subscribe to it.

If it is used as it's suposed to be used then it is a great app. Keeping track of your children is easier than ever. But as an adult with adult children, I find I'm the one being tracked. And I find this very intrusive! However, recently they've added the option to pause your location temporarily. One of the better ops are the ability to know when they are in the vicinity of your home. The app will sound off if they are within a mile or so, so no surprises... I'm on the fence with this app...

Great program for keeping tabs on older parental unit..... And for Minions when escaping from their respective campuses... Only gripe since last update is constant audible 'location updated' notification on my Android.... Catch22 if I turn them off. As it would stop the other notifications I do need. No obvious way to manually turn off that item.
