Again, May2024 updated the new version, new version to this Android phone very difficult to connected purevpn. In average 1 in 20 trial to get connected to a server, which only able to connect to Whatsapp, couldn't connect Google Play! I found connect to Purevpn is machine dependent, I use only chinese made cell phone was relatively easier, not sure the reason why, settings, servers?, not a clue!

I had this but tried to cancel it and could not because this VPN company hides behind the Google play stores bs terms and conditions.I contacted pure VPN and they said I could not get a refund,I used it for my VPN and it just buffered,rubbish.

It's great, when it works... The app keeps quietly disconnecting/ after a while, and when I go back to the app and try to disconnect then reconnect, it appears to have 'froze' (but UI is functioning). Not good for peace of mind... I expect my VPN to be reliable and always on. (Sometimes it just won't work, but closing and reopening fixes this.) Sometimes when changing cell towers (when you're walking or traveling) the app blocks all Internet traffic, even though you actually have the connectivity. The app icon in the upper left corner of the screen Falsely displays as if you have the connection. It's only when you shut down the app that the Internet connection starts working again, and you get all the missing notifications.

I manage a website and for some reason one day I could not access it or my email from that website. I couldn't figure out why I was being blocked. My husband turned on his pureVPN and everything loaded instantly. I now get my website emails and can make website edits when I need to. Well worth the money just for this.

Manual VPN configuration required (Finland),dont know why it isn't listed on app. Customer service has improved! Resolved the manual configuration issues. Advertised specifically to work with Netflix, but it doesn't, Netflix notices VPN and stops playing. Tried tethering VPN over to other phone, same error. Tested on OSX,iPhone,Android. Other than that seems okay.

Switched on Purevpn again 8th July 2021. It seems that recent upgrades have finally made it work properly. Simple connection to anywhere, defaulting to a local server. No dropouts so far. Excellent new interface too. I bought a five year subscription. After four years in, it finally seems reliable/usable. Update, March 2022: I have been using purevpn on and off lately. mostly stays up, but occasionally drops out. I'm not sure where that fault is, but I can live with it for now

I have used PureVPN for > 6 years. This app and its background service work ABSOLUTELY GREAT unless you are in China. This app is a HORRIBLE choice for mainland China. (Sorry guys.) In China, it works less than 1% of the time, and China Mobile could still see enough information to determine that I was a foreigner and reset the data service of the phone every 5 - 15 minutes. For mainland China, I recommend ExpressVPN which is more reliable and could keep a connection for several days at a time.
