I really wish they would implement non-app profiles so that I could share my climbing videos with my family members who don't climb. It's a lot of work to get someone to download a new app and create a profile just so they can look at my videos if they want to.

Full disclosure: I haven't used the app because it won't let me log in. Any login method redirects back to the account creation screen which doesn't allow me to proceed. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried restarting the phone, no luck

I want to like this app, but if I have the app loaded on a certain screen and turn my phone's screen off, the app freezes, forcing me to close and open it again. It's super annoying, especially when trying to log climbs. Not worth paying for until that is fixed.

    1. Zooming in on images on Android causes the UI to freeze and the "x" button to suddenly offset upwards out of the screen. 2. Creating new lists when long selecting a problem broken. 3. Video restarts still prevalent. 4. Button UI issues on pixel 6 pro. 5. Onsighting doesn't contribute to Flash achievements. 6. Height selection appears as 3'0" in Edit Profile. 7. Not sure why default attempts is "Flash" instead of "N/A" if N/A is already an option. 8. Splash screen logo shifts/not centered

Ok idea poorly executed. Search algorithm is rudimentary: to find "new Joe's" you must type "new" first, it won't find it from "Joe's". Frustratingly slow. Not very intuitive layout. They've convinced guidebook authors to eschew updated print copies for an app that's an inadequate replacement. The world is going to a subscription based model for everything, even climbing :(

GOOD: -GPS to a very specific boulder. -UI design seems pretty good. BAD: -The offline searching is terrible, keep getting 0 results, Which makes it extremely frustrating to find boulders in the area. -SAAS is just bad, allow me to purchase a guide book. -Extremely poor performance. Tried premium for a trip to Red Rocks so that I could use the offline feature. I ended up having to rely on locals because the app is just so broken.

not a super intuitive ui. the areas I selected I can't easily explore with a click or 2. don't know if I need pro to make the search smoother but the free version certainly isn't great.

Great app for climbing! indoors mostly and I'm lazy, but alerts that there are new routs in the gym? YES PLEASE! That feature alone is so great!

Worst interface and not at all. Intuitive. I hope it fails. Edit: what kind of passive aggressive bull response from the company did they send me? Wow. Fire whoever is in charge of community management. Sincerely.. Your ap is abysmal. Your interface is confusing and awkward. And your communication here is dire. Maybe you should have just not responded?

Nice concept with lots of potential. I like how you can see people's beta. Needs improved UI. Show to respond which makes it frustrating. Remembering my filter settings would be nice

Hi! I am a very new climber, just started end of April. I started using the Kaya app to track my sessions pretty much as soon as I started, on my second session. It has been helpful to log my progress, keep notes about auxiliary training I had done before or after a session, and most recently participate in a community challenge. Uploading videos can be slightly tedious, but taking all the videos of my climbs for the challenge helped me identify patterns of movement that are holding me back.

Overall, pretty good. However, while there is a tab to select ropes and bouldering, there needs to be a checkbox or tab to differenciate top rope and lead climb. That would give better feedback to both the setters and community.

Finally an awesome app to log my ascents and sessions over established climbs with my buddies! It's rad how I can provide direct feedback so routesetters can understand which climbs people are psyched on and how to stay consistent with their grading. I also love the ability to share beta, media, and fist bumps to keep the stoke high. This feels like the future for climbing gyms.

The app has the potential to be very useful, it just needs to be more streamlined for logging indoor climbs. I'f you could log several climbs in one go, would be quicker and make the app a great tool.

It has been consistently laggy. And I've tried downloading areas multiple times but it never shows up in my offline section. I don't have service where I climb so it's completely useless while out in the field.

Amazing experience. The only thing I am missing is to have a mode in which routes dissapear after you mark them as send. Also even if I logged for a few days I still get the logbook as empty. Anyway, great work. 10 stars.

Best way to log outdoor sends and bank beta videos-- I like it better than sendage, 8a, YouTube, and instagram for logging and tracking progress. There are a few things that can be improved but it's pretty solid already.
